  3. Joe Burns official website has tons of tutorials. he also has a book HTML Goodies. I have it and it's the best, even advance users use the book. You can get it for about $19 and it's really worth it. Here his official website http://htmlgoodies.earthweb.com/tutorials/getting_started/ And this is where if you're interested, you can buy his book. http://www.amazon.com/HTML-Goodies-2nd-Joe-Burns/dp/0789726114
  4. Some good tutorials can be easily found on google, here are some: http://hypergurl.com/ http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/ http://pagetutor.com/ For page tutor, don't bother installing the google toolbar, you can still view the site without it. For Javascript resources use: http://javascript.internet.com/ -Some tips I have gave people in the past is using css for the layout of the website, but since you are new, you will need to master HTML first. -Javascript can spice up your page by a longshot. -You should make your website content (not the titles and designs) in a very generic sans-serif font, which is easy to read, nothing fancy. Some good fonts are: Arial, Verdana, Geneva, Microsoft Sans-serif, sans-serif, etc., etc. -When you're new to HTML you usually want to make the site with a bunch of colors, and more juvenile things, but to make your site look professional, use simple colors, and stick to the same color scheme on each page. -You should start out working in notepad, writing your own code at first then moving onto a webauthoring program, it will be harder, but this way you will get a good grip on the language, but if you want to cheat, and make it easy on yourself, get a webauthoring program first, like Macromedia Dreamweaver, or Microsoft Frontpage. -Some things to use to make your site look fancy, and nice using Macromedia Flash in it, (and not those flash generators) like making your own flash movies, such as slideshows, and menus. -You can use some developer tools, like color matching tools, and javascript codes, which can be found at http://hypergurl.com/ I just wrote this website for you to look at quickly. Disregard the content, I made it so you could see flash in action, and css layouts, as well as a thorough color scheme: http://ms137.echoz.com/ If you don't believe me, look at the about me page, my name is Rashad Nasir, M.S. 137 is my school, and yes, I'm a thirteen year old. Not to brag, but I'm a pro in HTML, and if you need any help, just ask. Hope I helped! 5. if you want to make good sites... say like professionals.. you won't just need the HTML... Its not all you'll need.. I'd advice you to get tutorials of CSS... and JavaScript too... These you'll need along with HTML to make good enough web pages to please yourself.. Later you can extend your knowledge.. and learn some CGI programming/scripting language/technology... eg pearl.. or PHP .. or ASP..etc.. along with database handling... . . . and Ya for turorials.. make a search for it on the net.. try many different pages to find which one you like... caz the links people will give you .. may be as per their liking.. which may or may not suit your way of understanding things... but in any case I'd advice you to go through W3c's site...
  6. Try http://www.w3schools.com/ If you want to create a website, just HTML is not enough, you might want to know Javascript, CSS, XML, etc. That site has all the basic info you will need. I have been doing web development for 6 years, and still using that site as reference.
