What is the HTML code to make the background of an image transparent without making the image itself so?

  1. Its called a transparent gif, it isn't an html code.
  2. can you put some details to it i may answer if you please
  3. I'm going to say you can't do that with HTML. HTML is not a photo editor, other than like sizing it. You will have to use a digital photo editor, cut around the part of the image you want to keep, paste it on an empty layer and save it as a jpeg or whatever format you want. I don't think then, that it will save the image with a blank background, but just the part you pasted in
  4. A transparent backgroud is part of the image itself. .gif and .png file formats support this kind of transparency. The transparency isn't determined or defined by HTML code.
