How can I preview downloaded website templates?

I want to launch a website and I downloaded a bunch of free templates, I don't know how to preview/edit the templates though...just a bunch of php files, index.html and main.php's. There are lots of other files too, so I don't want to upload them all to a website just to take a look at them all. I'm in uncharted territory here and I don't know what I'm doing, thanks.

  1. you could try easy php, http://www.easyphp.org/telechargements/dn.php?F=easyphp1-8 , it will alow you to run php on your localhost, all you have to do is download the programme and drop all the files ( un-zipped ) into folder 'www' ( click explore 'e' icon ) , then press 'local web' and there it will be
