Need advice for designing a simple website cheap?

I posted this in Internet, but I think it would be more appropriate here? I don't need a lot of features in my website--just something fairly simple, but I do want it to look nice. I was looking at some template sites. Are there any that people recommend? Also, are the free template sites trustworthy? I'm a little wary of downloading a virus. Although I don't need something complicated, it will eventually have many pages. I'd like to be able to have "permanent sidebars." So that I can change a link on one page and it clones it for all pages. However, I don't want frames. I have Namo WebEditor, which I don't really like, though I haven't used it that much. I don't really have much money. Does anyone have any suggestions for an HTML program? Use the one I have, use a freebie online, or get an older version of better software? Thanks! I'm planning on buying a domain name and hosting. I was thinking GoDaddy. From everything I've read, they're low-cost and pretty good. So I wouldn't be using the template of a blog or other hosting site. Thanks for the repost tank lord! :-)

  1. You should try a cheap web-hosting site. (not the free ones if your serious). And I would suggest using this HTML editor/builder. It's like frontpage on steriods.
  2. www.freewebs.com is a free site, you can chose a templet add music after a certain point unless u want to pay for premuim this is free, but you will not have your own domain, you will have the www.freewebs.com name attached to it, like www.freewebs.com/"thenameyouwant".
  3. Contact Azure Butterfly Web Design. Let them know what you want done, and the budget for your project. http//www.azurebutterfly.net
  4. *Repost* =) I will take into concideration that you said you dont have much money, but I have dreamweaver studio 8 and I love it! But if you can get your hands on Microsoft Office. Use Frontpage. Its simple, basic and easy to use. Just what you are looking for! If you want to make the site yourself, I suggest you learn the basics of HTML. http://www.w3schools.com/html/ I have made many many many websites from simple to complex designs. Any further questions or help, Contact me at pokemasterben2001@yahoo.com http://www.freeweblayouts.net/ http://www.freelayouts.com http://www.layouts4free.com/ < (I love this one) Those sites I trust.
