Actionscript flash help, load variables, how do i load picture from database? Please help. much appreciated?

Hi, hope this makes sense lol. Well to give you a bit of a background, I'm building a website for my town. It will be like a business directory and have upcoming community, local weather via RSS feed, cheapest petrol of the day or week and maybe specials of the day or week. I really want to have restaurants with their menus on it as well. Anyway heres my question, as I'm doing it all in flash so it looks cool, I'm going to get it to load the business name and info from an XML file or something like that, I have worked out how to get text from this file and display it in flash but i also want it to load up a picture from the XML file, llike the HTML code to load it or something. PLease tell me how to go about this, and whether or not to use a different kind of database. I would be quite happy to give the person that helps the most some cash once i get the site up and running. Any help would be very much appreciated THANKS :)
