I need to create a website for my band. Where can I find free webspace and HTML tutorials?

I would also like to see if I could put Flash displays on my page, and make it as professional as possible. I would need room for audio files and photos...where could I find free hosting with that much bandwidth? And I need to refresh on my HTML coding. Where could I find a good manual from which I could get all the lines of code I'd need? All help is greatly appreciated...thanks!!! :)

  1. www.freewebs.com = free webspace www.webmokey.com = free html help
  2. On http://awardspace.com you get 5 gigs of bandwidth a month (on a free plan, you can get a lot more if you pay), which is a pretty good amount. There are many other web hosts, just google "Free web host" and you'll get a ton of results. :) For a good tutorial site on web design and programming, I highly recommend http://w3schools.com Have fun!
  3. http://wordpress.com That's THE BEST place for free webspace. You even get the WordPress publishing system to use FOR FREE... you cannot beat that. I use it. As for HTML tutorials: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
  4. freehostia.com and w3schools.com Or else you may contact a web designer to set the whole things up for you. Check websites like http://askexpert.info/
  5. If you really want the site to look as professional as possible as you stated, then you can't really do that with a free website. You can actually get decent web hosting really cheap these days - even less than $3.00 a month. Free hosts usually include some sort of advertising, and even if they don't you're sometimes limited in what you can do. Check out YourServing.com with my link: http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1885806-10467159 That's only like $35 a year! I Power Web and Go Daddy both have starter hosting plans around $3.95 per month also. Joyce http://www.DesignByJoyce.com/
