Does Anyone Have a Yahoo Store? Hard to Setup?

I sell my vintage jewelry at major online auction house and other vintage jewelry online venue however I would like to incorporate selling from my own website. I have yahoo webhosting but found setting up a store extremely NON user friendly. I am pretty tech saavy but I was amazed that with all the frivilous templates they have for everything else, they don't just have a "store" template where listing the items is all set up. Maybe I am making it harder than I need to. Does anyone have a yahoo store and willing to share how to set it up?

  1. If you have the merchant solution package, it has a Yahoo Store Editor, and it comes with a builtin default template. There are two very different ways to create a store: webhosting file manager with store tags, or Store Editor. http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/store/store-38.html has a comparison of the two. With Store Editor, if you don't mind using the built-in default template (which will create a store look-and-feel like many others, like this demo store http://acme.store.yahoo.com/ ), is very easy. You can create section page or item page completely through the store editor, and then publish. This simple template allows you to publish your store in minutes. See the following information for how to get started and basic editor help: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/store/edit and http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/store/edit/edit-31.html For advanced users, you can use the Store Editor advanced mode to create your own templates, which uses a language called RTML (http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/store/edit/advanced/advanced-09.html ). This is a lisp-like language and there are lots of Store Designers specialized in RTML to create stores for their clients. I found Ytimes (http://www.ytimes.info/index.html ) has a good collection of resources for creating a Yahoo Store.
