How can one find the final price of a finished fine art auction for free?

I am trying to find out the ballpark of how much paintings by several artists go for. I know that paintings by these artists have been sold by many major auction houses (i.e. Sotheby's). I know sites like Artprice.com etc. will allow you to find this information but you have to pay. I was wondering if there was a free database of this information as I've checked the Sotheby's site and while they show the image and the lot number they don't show the final price. Thanks!
