I want the rules for monopoly Starting money? Free parking, auction and mortage?

Public Comments

  1. Starting money is 1500 dollars. Free parking is essentially a resting spot because you don't really get anything for landing here (based on the original rules). As far as auctions go, it's whoever bids the highest who gets the property. Mortgage is basically the money you recieve for what you get for giving the house back to the bank.
  2. Starting money is 2 $500s, 2 $100s, 2 $50s, 6 $20s, 5 $10s, 5 $5's, 5 $1's. Free parking is supposed to be just a free space, but when my friends & I play we set aside a few 1's and 5's, and every time you win something with Chance or Community Chest, you set that money aside also, in the middle of the board, and whoever lands on Free Parking gets the whole wad. Just makes it a bit more fun, IMO. As for auctions, I've never used it...probably sort of like eBay. And mortgage is simply a loan; you can't put houses or hotels on a mortgaged property.
  3. AUCTIONS- if you land on a property and decide not to purchase it, it is open to all players, including the person who lands on it, to "bid" on starting at at least one dollar. Sometimes, the price paid exceeds what is written on the board! The winner pays the bank and gets possession of the property... MORTGAGE- If you run out of money, you can mortgage your properties and receive 1/2 their value in cash from the bank. You still own them, but they are inactive, so you cannot collect rent on them. However, you can "un-mortgage" a property by paying the bank back what you borrowed, plus 10 percent!
