I am in university, any businesses I can set up that dont take much to set up or look after. No online auction

Hi, I am starting university in a few months, I want to start up a business that does not take much to start up or much time to look after. I dont mind selling online but Im not into buying stuff and then selling it for more on Ebay or Amazon. Got any ideas. No stupid ones like prostituion or drug dealing.

  1. well when i was at university i set up a small business i got a shipment of unknown on a 3 months refereed payment option. this worked by shipment coming in and you really had no idea what you got , so a bit of risk if you like. i remember been skint. just wanted to make a few quid. then this opportunity came along. i opened the shipment and inside was boxes and boxes of shoes, i thought what the hell am i going to do with all these shoes so i put them in storage paid my fee. Christmas was coming up so i got a friend of mine and we did a stall we sold over 50% of the stock the same day by the time my over heads and wages e.c.t came out i had doubled my earnings. still having under 50% stock left i ordered another shipment and did the same this continued throughout university. it paid my board and training fees and maid me a few quid. this worked for me. i not saying it will worke for you. but i whish you all the luck in the world.
  2. Hi- Working from home seems to be the best way to get into a business without a lot of formal training. There are many opportunities available on-line but ... There are also a lot of ways to get scammed looking for on line businesses or jobs. I've been online for many years, even before the Web was around, doing emails and bulletin boards- and even THEN there were people trying to scam other people! Anyway, I'm most impressed with a number of businesses ... some need a small amount of investment of money ... ALL need an amount of time invested in doing the work or promoting. Since you are at a university, I would think that you would have to do a lot of critical thinking and writing. That could segway into a writing career! That is simply, offer your services as a typist, editor, article writer, etc. You can find these kinds of freelance positions at www.elance.com or www.guru.com - there are many companies and individuals that need those services. The best thing to do is to go check out what's available and sign up as a provider of those services. The only other way to get that info out there is to post it on a site like www.craigslist.org. If you'd like to check out the opportunities that I have gotten involved in and recommend to others, then go to my blog and find all the entries where I talk about them. http://internet-security-software-review.com/ Hope this helps you and have a great day!
  3. A online travel website is something to think about. I am pretty certain that college students love to travel. I prefer not to post a link here or provide more info. However, finding the link with all the info and how to contact me is very easy to find.

  5. Hi. I work full time, and run a simple, home based business on a part time basis. We, that's my wife & I, are working with a British PLC, and love what we do. No stock to keep, low start up, and low ongoing overheads, and if you move, like home after Uni, then you just take your business with you. For more details, visit www.homebasedcareer.co.uk Look forward to hearing from you.
