Where can I find a place to build my website for FREE?

I want to start a blog-ish type thnig, but don't want to use Myspace. I want my own website. i don't mind if its like under another domain (Freewebs) but I want a site that I can either get help building it, or use html on my own to choose the template, instead of picking a generic one. and i would like for it to be free. Thanks!
