How do you get a custom business logo etc and get the copyrights for it?

Hello, I live in Australia and have a sellers store on ebay, but as yet it is only very small and I don't sell a great deal so it's not a registered business. Eventually however I want to have my own little brand, logo, business cards etc and the copyrights for this, however I've got absolutely no idea how to go about it. Also since all my business is done online I'd want the logo to be in digital form and eventually to have matching item listing, storefront, storefront banner and about me page html templates. I'm currently using a really nice item listing template that I previously purchased and would like to use a similiar theme. Well thanks for the help, Gemma.

  1. it's not a copyright it's a trademark, research trademarks http://www.inta.org/
  2. For logos you must contact any web-design company whose charges vary. Ask them to design the logo and further they can assist you with the registration of the logo. First of all look out for the web-design company and ask them to build your website and get various promotion done. I dont know much about Australia but in India we do have couple of companies which does this kind of work.
  3. I'm not sure about the laws in Australia. But here's what I do know. I actually own a company and that's what we do, create logos for businesses. We're pretty inexpensive, $95 for a custom logo with unlimited revisions. Once we create one for a business, they apply for the copyrights @ www.uspto.gov Check us out @ www.myspace.com/visualelements if you're interested in a logo! Good luck!
