Advanced HTML Editor?

I really like building websites from the actual code (HTML, JSP, ect.) I also find it to be a hassle to open Internet Explorer every time I complete a webpage and want to test it out. My question is: Is there an HTML Editor that offers a built-in browser and maybe even a HTML validation tool? Actually, free would be nice!

  1. Use Macromedia Dreamweaver or ColdFusion they are both excellent web development products.
  2. Run a local webserver on your computer to host your applications. Point the wwwroot at your project directory. Then you just have to refresh your browser after you've made changes. You can get the web developer toolbar for Firefox and can easily validate your HTML through it.
  3. Dreamweaver has an HTML validation tool. It does not have a "built-in browser" per se. But it has an option to "preview" your changes in your default browser though.
  4. I recommend you most Common Softwares sorted by quality. 1.Macromedia Dreamweaver 2.Front Page
  5. there are many of those but you won't like them. their display is very generic compared to the actual browser. your pages won't look the same in both of them here is some info http://www.thesitewizard.com/webdesign/multiplebrowsers.shtml you can install multiple versions of firefox on your computer with no proble. but to do that with internet explorer you need to download hacked versions of it so they will all install without problems. not every function will work in these but they are good enough to check your pages make your pages more compatible in multiple browsers with css filters http://www.idest.com/csshacks http://centricle.com/ref/css/filters/
  6. Right click on the finished html and open with, choose internet explorer or whatever browser you choose!
  7. use the yahoo geocities template.. make an acct but just use the template, it has a preview button
