In internet options, programs, html editor, only notepad is offered. How do I add another? Like Word.?

I have Firefox and IE, XP Home, Compaq Presario R3000.

hmm they should already be listed on the drop down menu using the little arrow at the side.
You shouldn't use Word as it may add formatting characters. When you compose HTML all you want is a plain text editor.
In order to get WORD or any other html editor you need to download the programs that have these such as Microsoft Office or just the WORD. I was needing the same thing a few months ago and a friend told me to do it. I did and, well, there was Microsoft Word in the Internet Options\Programs\html editor and under notepad was WORD.
