Which online auction sites are the best for an individual wishing to sell gently used books?

  2. i would say ebay because that is where i buy most of my books.
  3. I buy all of my used books from Amazon, but it's not an auction site.
  4. If you are selling your books in a "lot", then I would say eBay. I have bought "lots" of books (anywhere from 10-30 books at a time) from eBay. If you are selling one book at a time, I would definitely try Amazon. For some reason, I expect a better deal on eBay, and don't mind spending more on Amazon (especially if the book is out-of-print and will complete a set for me!). I rarely consider other auction sites, and after asking friends, realize that they don't, either. Also, as a seller, I know that both sites give buyers a chance to leave feedback. As long as you're an honest seller, this will increase your chances of having someone buy from you.
