I've won an auction online, what do I do next?? Pay First or wait for the item to be sent to me?

PLease help..iM NEW to this online auction thing.. Do I PAY FIRST, USING PAYPAL or WAIT for the item to be shipped??? Please help! why do some say pay first, receive later and others say receive first, pay later? HELP.........

  1. You pay first.
  2. There may be a paypal link, follow it and pay 1st, they won't send it to you until you pay. If there is no link or you want to be careful, get the payment details from the seller and go to your paypal account and pay them from there. They will email you a receipt or you can print it from there. Then the seller will ship it to you.
  3. Ist receive the item and then pay.
