Looking to build website?

I'm looking to build a website for a band. I've searched for free website templates and I'm able to find them. The problem is I'm not sure how to use them. What's up with the zip files? When I was younger all I had to do was copy and paste the HTML code and then work with it from there. How am I supposed to work with these "download and unzip" templates?

  1. these zip files are templates that use CSS . almost no one uses straight HTML anymore . but if your looking for it , check out http://www.draac.com
  2. i do not know a TON about html im more of a server guy but templates allow you to just type your information with the like collumns and places for pictures already their it basically simplifies the process so you dont need to type in alot of css.. i think to unzip templates download winrar and then open the templates with winrar and plug in your code its probably easyer to use something like freewebs if you dont no alot about html plus its vary fusterating (for me) and can get very time consuming
